I sat up and watched both the concession speech of McCain and the acceptance speech of Obama - perhaps the best two motivational speeches that either candidate had given in their entire campaigns. Both spoke of reconciliation, historical significance, and the fact that the heart of democracy in America has never beat stronger. Both senators made me proud to be an American. And it will be interesting to see how those in the red states enter this new venture into the future. Secession is not an option. Big Daddy
I am so sorry my state failed you and the nation. In the early hours it almost looked promising but then sadly, the rednecks prevailed. Sigh! My county went blue is that is any consolation.
Rachel & Jacob recently moved to the West Coast to try their hand at grown-up life. As diligent observers and occasionally motivated writers, they love to share the quirks of their environment.
