How Does the Water Come Down at Lodore

Sunday we went to see some waterfalls about 1 hour north into the Cascades. I'm only burdening you with a second post because Blogger has a photo limit for each entry.

This husband of mine has started carrying his new wool army blanket around like a small child. Good for emergencies, he says.

Do you see me? In the rocks on the right? This waterfall is much taller and longer than it looks. Some crazies were swimming in it already.

Yet a third waterfall, called the "Rogue Gorge" where the Rogue River barrels into a narrow channel with a thunderous clamor.

Some enormous, moss-covered boulders in the forest. Jake hopes these will be good spots for locating wild mushrooms later this spring. Given Oregon's reputation for world-class psychedelic 'shrooms, Rachel is not so eager to consume unidentified fungi.
